Admission to AFMC MBBS course is on the basis of the AIPMT exam. This is followed by aTest and an interview and then after the final selection, 130 students, including 25 girls, are admitted to the College. All these students are liable to serve in the medical services of the Armed Forces, on successful completion of MBBS, for at least seven years.

           Education Qualification-Candidates must have passed 10+2/HSC in the first attempt with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken simultaneously and securing not less than 60% of the aggregate marks in these three science subjects taken together and not less than 50% marks in English and 50% marks in each of the science subjects.

       Other Eligibility Criteria-1. A candidate should be a citizen of India or be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan or any other foreign country with the intention of permanently settling in India.

2. Must be unmarried. Marrying during the course is not permitted.

3. Should be medically fit as per prescribed standards by the Govt. of India, Ministry of Defence.

Selection Procedure

   1.Candidates for AFMC MBBS 2016 course will be shortlisted on the basis AIPMT 2016 score. Based on the AFMC MBBS 2016 merit list candidates will be called for Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning (ToELR) and Psychological assessment cum Interview. The AFMC MBBS 2016 assessment test will be held tentatively in the month of June / July at AFMC, Pune.
