Christian Medical College Vellore MBBS Entrance Exam, commonly known as: CMC Vellore MBBS is a University Level Exam conducted by Christian Medical College Vellore for 100 seats in CMC Vellore out of which approximately 84 seats are sponsored and 16 seats are for open categories.CMC Vellore MBBS 2016 will be conducted in two stages for admission into MBBS programmes. First stage exam is scheduled to be conducted on 20th May, 2016 and second stage exam is scheduled to be conducted in between 13 to 15th June, 2016.

 

 Eligibility

 Candidates who have passed any qualifying examination other than the Higher Secondary course examination conducted by the Government of Tamilnadu shall obtain an eligibility certificate from the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai by remitting the prescribed fee along with the application form before seeking admission to any one of the affiliated Medical Institutions. The candidate will be required to produce the eligibility certificate at the time of registration for admission to the course if selected. Entrance Examination

 

 Exam Pattern

 Christian Medical College Vellore MBBS 2016 entrance exam will be conducted in two steps. First step will be a computer based test. Candidates who will qualify step 1 CMC Vellore MBBS 2016 entrance test will be invited for the step 2 which will have questions related to general ability and interview. 

Stage 1.

• CMC Vellore MBBS2016 entrance stage 1 exam will be a computer based test

• Entrance exam language will be English

• There will be 60 questions each in Physics, Chemistry and Biology

• CMC Vellore MBBS2016 entrance exam question paper will have multiple choice questions with five possible answers. Aspirants need to choose the most relevant answer

• The time duration of CMC Vellore MBBS2016 exam will be total 3 hours 10 minutes

• Candidates will have total 120 minutes to complete the section of questions related to Physics, Chemistry and Biology

• Question paper will also have questions in general ability, speed, accuracy and few questions on current issues

• There will be 120 questions in general ability which will be divided into two sections

• Section I will have 60 questions to be answered in 50 minutes and Section II will have 60 questions to be answered in 20 minutes

Stage 2.

 Stage 2 exam will be a special test and interview which will be held at Vellore according to the schedule. Candidates who will qualify first stage exam will be called for the second stage exam. Result of CMC Vellore MBBS 2016 Stage 1 Exam pattern will be declared in the month of June, 2016 tentatively. Candidates can check the important points related to CMC Vellore MBBS 2016 Stage 2 Exam pattern below-

• Candidates who will qualify in stage 1 will be intimated by letter/Speed Post/email

• At the time of stage 2 exam, Christian students will be given a test based on Bible. Question paper will have 50 multiple choice questions

• Candidates will have to appear in an interview

 

Application form 

    1. Form Fees  -   Rs.500/-. 

The application fee can be paid by any one of the methods given below:

1. Demand draft in favour of “C.M.C. Vellore Association a/c” on any Scheduled Bank, payable in Vellore. Keep your demand draft ready before filling the application form. Write your name and application number on the back of the demand draft and send the original DD to office.

2. As a challan at no extra cost at any branch of ICICI bank in India. A challan will be generated when filling payment details in the application form. Please mention FC-CMC-V on the challan.

3. Online payment using only “Credit / Debit Card”. a. Use only your own (parents/guardians) credit / debit card for these transactions. If this is not possible, please choose the payment option of ICICI challan or Demand Draft. b. When using a credit / debit card, if the transaction is not successful, please follow the following steps: Check with your bank / credit card account to see if the amount was debited.  If it has been debited, please send us an email to registrar@cmcvellore.ac.in and we will follow up.  If the amount has not been debited, please wait for 24-48 hours. The transaction is likely to be completed OR will probably be refunded to you by your bank in which case you will need to do the payment process again. Applications received without the application fee as mentioned above will not be registered.

 

2.How to fill form

1. Fill the form online, check the details for correctness and submit.

2. Upload your photograph and signature.

3. Make your PAYMENT by any one of the methods mentioned above.

4. Take a print out of the completed application form and the application confirmation page for your reference. (Do not send a hard copy of your application form to the Registrar‟s Office.)

5. Send the proof of payment (for DD/challan payment) and all the other required ENCLOSURES where applicable to the Office of the Registrar, CMC, Vellore 632002 .

6. An email stating successful registration of the application will be sent to the candidates within a week of final submission of the application. If not received, please check with this office by email registrar@cmcvellore.ac.in

Please note that this entire application form is meant to be submitted online. If you get interrupted after you submit the basic information or at “upload photo and signature”, you can sign in again at the „download admission bulletin‟ page using your application number and date of birth. If you did not note your application number, you have to go to the main menu & follow the procedure to “Retrieve Application Number.”
