Admissions to 600 MBBS and 40 BDS seats in University of Delhi, Faculty of Medical Sciences is done on the basis of AIPMT scores. The three medical and dental colleges which are constituent of FMS are LHMC, MAMC, UCMS and MAIDS.

 

 Eligibility

  •  The candidates should have completed the age of 17 (seventeen) years on or before 31st December 2016. The candidates completing the age of 17 years on 1st January 2017 or later will not be eligible for admission. The upper age limit is 25 years as on 31st December, 2016. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes.

  •  Indian Nationals/Overseas citizens of India, who have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system conducted by the C.B.S.E/ Council of the Indian School Certificate Examination/ Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi with required subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English from the recognized schools conducting regular classes situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi only, will be eligible for admission.

  • The candidate must have studied 11th and 12th classes regularly from a recognized school within the National Capital Territory of Delhi.

  • Further the candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Bio-technology and English separately and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks in case of SC/ST/OBC category candidates) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology”. In respect of candidates with locomotory disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% for GenPH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required.

  • Provided that a candidate who has appeared in the qualifying examination the result of which has not been declared, he may be provisionally permitted to take up the competitive entrance examination and in case of selection for admission to the MBBS Course, he shall not be admitted to that course until he fulfills the eligibility criteria.

  •  Eligible Female candidates from outside Delhi belonging to SC category, ST category and CWWAPP category who have passed the qualifying examination from Indian Universities/ Boards or Foreign Universities/ Boards are eligible for admission to Lady Hardinge Medical College only against the seats reserved for these categories, subject to their fulfilling the prescribed conditions.

  •  The candidates must have passed the qualifying examination, in all the required subjects separately (Theory and Practical), for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses.

  •  A candidate who had not taken any one or more of the required subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in the qualifying examination but had subsequently passed in that subject(s) as an additional subject is not eligible.

  •  Candidates who have passed qualifying examination from Patrachar Vidyalaya or National Institute of Open Schooling will not be eligible. 2.4.7 Candidates who have appeared in the Annual Examination of the year 2015 and placed under compartment will not be eligible.

  •  Candidates who have appeared in the Annual Examination of the year 2016 and are reappearing for improvement will also not be considered eligible.

  •  Admission to MBBS/BDS Courses for all categories under Delhi Quota will be made on the basis of the merit obtained by the eligible candidates in the AIPMT 2016 to be conducted by CBSE.

  • The candidate should be medically fit for the course.

Application form 

    1. Form Fees  -   Rs.750/- For General/OBC Candidates and Rs550/- for SC/ST candidates.The payment for obtaining Application form should be made by submitting a crossed MICR Bank Draft/ Banker’s Cheque/ Pay Order drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of the Registrar, University of Delhi, payable at Delhi. Money in cash will not be accepted in any case for supply of Application form.Once fee paid for Application Form (Bulletin of Information) will not be refunded in any case whatsoever.

    2.Registration And Procedure For Making Online Application

  • Download the application form.

  • Fill up the information in own handwriting.

  • Candidates who fulfill the eligibility requirements for admission to MBBS/BDS course may apply on the prescribed form appended at the end of the BOI. The candidate shall fill-in the application form in English in his/ her own handwriting in BLOCK LETTERS written neatly and legibly with blue/ black ink within the prescribed space/ boxes.

  • The candidates shall comply with all the instructions while filling-in the application form. The forms duly filled-in should be signed by the candidate and his/her parent/ guardian. Overwriting, cuttings, erasings in the application form may lead to rejection of application form and should be avoided. Any error arising on this account shall be the responsibility of the candidates. NOTE:THE CANDIDATE SHOULD FILL IN THE FORM IN HIS/HER OWN HANDWRITING

 3. Procedure for submission of application form for admission:

Each application form must be accompanied with the attested photocopies of the following documents:

1. AIPMT 2016 Examination Admit Card.

 2. AIOMT 2016 result (Score card).

3. Matriculation or equivalent certificate showing date of birth.

4. Certificate of having passed 12th Class Examination along with a statement of marks.

5. Certificate from the Principal of the School  stating that (i) the school is situated within National Capital Territory of Delhi, (ii) the school is recognized by the CBSE/Council for the Indian School Certificate/ Jamia Milia Islamia, (iii) the school is conducting regular classes, (iv) the applicant has attended regular classes in the school for class 11th & 12th.

6. The Character Certificate proforma prescribed by CBSE to be issued by the Principal of the school last attended or from any Gazetted officer.

7. Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe certificate , if applicable.

8. Father’s SC/ST Certificate.

9. Physically Handicapped certificate

10. Entitlement Certificate for CWWAPP category

11. OBC Certificate.

12. Non-creamy layer certificate and OBC caste certificate as per the Central list for OBC’s. Note: The student should certify whether he/she belongs to OBC/SC/ST/PH Category. However, the OBC status is to be determined on the basis of the Central List of OBCs notified by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment on the recommendations of the National Commission for Backward Classes available at their website (http:/ncbc.nic.in/ backwardclasses/ index.html)
