Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for Medical is a pre requisite exam conducted for the admissions to MBBS and BDS programmes in the state of Maharashtra. MH CET Medical is a state level exam conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER). MH CET Medical 2016 is scheduled to conducted on May 5, 2016 for admissions to around 3010 MBBS and BDS seats in 30 Government/Municipal Corporation, Government aided Health Sciences Institutes and Private Medical Health Sciences Institutes/Colleges.

 

 Eligibility

  • Lower age should be 17 years as on 31.12.2016

  • The candidate must be an Indian National / Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas citizen of India (OCI). Non Resident India (NRI) are not eligible

  • The candidate must be medically fit.

  • Candidate must have passed Higher Secondary Examination from a School/Junior College situated in Maharashtra with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany +Zoology) subjects

 

 Exam Pattern

  •  MH CET  2016  exam will be pen and paper based.

  • The medium for examination shall be English or Marathi or Urdu. The option once exercised about the medium by the candidate on online application shall be irrevocable

  • MH CET exam will have multiple choice objective type questions

  • Total number of questions will be around 200

  • Time duration for the test will be 180 minutes.

  •  The pattern of MH CET Entrance Examination is Physics: 50Q, Chemistry: 50Q, Biology: 100Q. Each answer with correct response shall be awarded 4 mark. 0 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

  • Syllabi of Physics, Chemistry and Biology for the MH CET- 2015 will be the same as for the current year for HSC/ 12th Examination (i.e March 2015) of HSC Board of Maharashtra.

 

Application form 

    1. Form Fees  -    The candidate has to take the printed MHCET Bank challan to any of the SBI branches, to make the payment after 48hrs of registration. Please tender Rs 800.00 + Rs 60.00 Bank Commission for Open Candidates and Rs 600.00 + Rs 60.00 Bank Commission for Reservation Category Candidates

    2.Registration And Procedure For Making Online Application

  • Visit MHCET 2015 website and click Registration link. Fill following information, "Personal information, Contact information, Reservation, Educational details and MHCET details" Create own password and click NEXT. The candidate receives an email confirming the registration.(Future Login will be allowed with your Registration ID and password).

  • On the next screen, upload your scanned photograph and signature. Uploaded files are displayed on screen. Click SUBMIT to confirm or RELOAD to change the images. Applicant is required to upload his/her scanned digital photograph and signature in jpeg format only.

  • Link is displayed to generate the Bank Challan. Take a print of the Challan and make payment at any of the SBI branches after 48hrs of registration. The last date of fee acceptance at SBI branches is 27th March 2015

  • You must end your session properly by clicking on LOGOUT button after completing the steps above.

  • Login after 24 hours of making the payment for confirming your payment details in your profile and generate the MHCET Registration Confirmation Page. Save and Print the same for future reference. You are not required to send this to MHCET office

 

Reservation of seat

  • Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Caste converts to Buddhism (SC) 13.0 percent

  •  Scheduled Tribes (ST) 7.0 Percent

  • Vimukta Jati ( VJ/DT - v ) 3.0 percent

  • Nomadic Tribes ( NT & c ) 2.5 percent

  •  Nomadic Tribes ( NT & d ) 3.5 percent

  •  Nomadic Tribes ( NT & M ) 2.0 percent

  •  Other Backward Category (OBC) including SBC 19.0 percent

  • Total 50.0 percent

 

Exam Centers

The MH-CET-2016 will be conducted at all the district headquarters of the State of Maharashtra. The MH-CET examination center will be within the same district from where the candidate has passed / is appearing at the qualifying examination i.e. HSC/12th Standard examination. For the eligible candidates passing qualifying examination from outside the state of Maharashtra, the Competent Authority shall allot the examination center. The center once allotted by the Competent Authority shall not be changed under any circumstances. In Health Science DMER, Mumbai ( 4 ) MH-CET-2016 Brochure the online application form, the facility for choice of distinct of examination center is available only for the candidates who have passed / appearing HSC 12th / equivalent from outside the State of Maharashtra.
