Admission to Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Banaras Hindu University Institute (BHU) will be done on the basis of AIPMT for admissions to the 113 undergraduate medical courses. Among the 113 seats, 71 are MBBS and 42 are BDS seats in Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), BHU.

 

 Eligibility

Age Limit   - Applicant must be at least 17 years old as on December 31, 2016. The age limit is 25 years for general and 30 years for SC / ST / OBC category candidates

    Education Qualification - 

• The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination.

• In respect of candidates beloning to SC/ST/OBC the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates.

• Further, for persons for locomotory disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for sC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required.

Those who are taking plus two examinations in present academic year can also appear for the entrance test provisionally, subject to their fulfilling the conditions late.

 

 Exam Pattern

 BHU will not conduct any separate entrance test for admission BHU MBBS 2015. The admission in 71 MBBS and 50 BDS seats will be done on the AIPMT 2015 score

 

 Application form 

    1. Form Fees  -   Rs.1000/- (for general and OBC candidates) atesand Rs.600/-(for SC/ST candidares).                                          

    2. Selection Procedure - Candidates will be shortlisted for BHU MBBS 2015counselling on the basis of AIPMT score. Admission to the Banaras Hindu University MBBS course for the academic session  in will be based on AIPMT score and rank. The candidates who have registered for admission to BHU MBBS and BDS course must send their scanned copy of their AIPMT score card of within 15 days after declaration of result.
